Precarious Terrains

Hošek Contemporary Gallery, Berlin

2025

Precarious Terrains is the culmination of a three-year artistic research developed during residencies at AADK Spain, filmed at the former salt extraction site of Salinas del Curro in southern Spain. Bringing together the video works dissolve, (dis)appear, and arc, the installation traces gestures of loss and renewal within a landscape marked by erosion and change. Through movement, sound and elemental imagery, the works reflect on cycles of burial and rebirth – on how bodies, materials and memories endure and transform within a world shaped by shifting climates and fragile ecologies.

Thanks to Saeed Foroghi, Anders Bigum, Rike Flämig and Diane Barbe.

Developed during “On duration” residency (2023), “Cruce” residency (2024) and “Desire and Disaster” residency (2025) at AADK Spain. Supported by Culture Moves Europe, funded by the European Union and Goethe Institut
