bodies in dialogue
Palais Populaire, Berlin
12th April 2026Invited by Palais Populaire, choreographers Patricia Woltmann (artistic direction) and Viviana Defazio embarked on a research process exploring resonance, connection and collective movement in space. Across three intensive workshops, they worked with a group of participants to investigate how bodies influence one another — how movement travels, multiplies and transforms when it meets another body in space.
The showing took place within an elastic installation that made these invisible forces visible: lines of tension stretching across the room, connecting columns, walls and floor, tracing the same web of resonance the dancers had been exploring through their bodies. Performers and audience shared this charged space together – the boundaries between watching and participating dissolving as audience members were invited into selected exercises, becoming part of the collective field rather than remaining at a distance.
The participants shared impressions from the process and opened the space for a first encounter with this research into how we move, respond and connect – with each other and with the space itself.
