Creating a body

Erika Klütz Schule, Hamburg

2023

A body is not (just) a body. A body always exists in relation to another body.

In this workshop, we explore the act of creating a body—together. A body composed not only of flesh and bones, but of shared attention, visual resonance, sound, and movement. Through somatic and improvisational practices, we investigate how collective presence can emerge through the subtle interweaving of perception, action, and relation. How does a group form a body? One that listens, responds, and shifts—through vibration, rhythm, proximity? Together, we build a body of visual resonance, of sound resonance, of movement. A temporary organism that breathes through connection, and redefines the boundaries between self and collective.
