forgetting to remember

Erika Klütz Schule, Hamburg

2018/2017

In this improvisation workshop, we explored the question: What happens when we continuously create new movement while letting go of what came before? What does it mean to design form—only to forget it again? And what might this reveal about our attachment to form itself? This practice of constant renewal opened up perception and challenged habitual patterns. By engaging in a process of making and unmaking, students forged a shifting relationship between memory and immediacy, allowing the present moment to emerge with heightened presence and sensitivity.
